The Milan River Shankou Water Control Project in Ruoqiang County, Xinjiang is a comprehensive utilization project that combines industrial and agricultural irrigation and water supply with power generation. The construction site is located at the exit of the Milan River in Ruoqiang County, Bayingoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, about 117 km away from Ruoqiang County and 1018 km away from Urumqi City. The project is mainly composed of a barrage, a diversion and flood discharge and sand discharge tunnel, a spillway, a water diversion system and a power station workshop. The normal water level is 1445.00m, and the maximum dam height is 83m. The total construction period of the project is 42 months.
