  On April 2, 2019, the Humen Second Bridge Project, which has attracted much attention, was officially opened to traffic on April 2, 2019.
  After 10 years of planning and 5 years of "intelligent manufacturing", the Humen Second Bridge Project will soon become the first super project, people's livelihood project and innovative project to be put into use after the promulgation of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan". The project consists of "Twin Bridges". It is the first time in the world that two super-kilometre-scale extra-long-span suspension bridges have been opened to traffic at the same time. It not only represents the world's leading level of bridge construction in China, but also will become the core channel of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Speed up the era of the Bay Area.
 
  The Humen Second Bridge Project has a total length of nearly 13 kilometers. The route starts from Dongchong Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou City. It crosses the Dasha Waterway of the Pearl River, Haigu Island, and Nizhou Waterway successively, and then crosses Humen Port. The end point is connected with Shatian Town, Dongguan City.
 
  The project was planned in 2003 and officially started on December 28, 2013. It took more than five years to complete the construction of two world-class bridges over one kilometer in the same project. It is reported that after the opening to traffic, the distance from southern Guangzhou to Dongguan can be shortened by 10 kilometers, which is about half an hour shorter than the current time.
 
 
  1. The steel box girder suspension bridge with the longest span in the world, the main span length of 1688 meters directly refreshes the length of the steel box girder suspension bridge in the world.
 
  2. The main tower of the suspension bridge is the highest in the world. The main tower is 260 meters high, which is equivalent to the height of a 90-story building.
 
  3. The world's highest-strength steel wire main cable, Humen Second Bridge uses the main cable made of 1960 MPa ultra-high-strength galvanized aluminum parallel steel wire independently developed and produced by my country, which is the first and largest scale of this new material in the world. The application of real bridges means that the strength of domestic steel cables has achieved a new leap.
 
  4. The world's widest suspension bridge, the steel box girder of Humen No. 2 Bridge is 49.7 meters wide, and it is the widest steel box girder of an integral suspension bridge in the world.
 
  5. The foundation diameter of the 90-meter anchorage underground diaphragm wall is the largest in the world.
 
  6. The steel casting of the scattered cable saddle weighs more than 100 tons, which is the largest steel casting in China, with a single weight of more than 180 tons. The complete set of saddles is about 220 tons, which is the largest cable saddle in the world.
